PC Requirements List

SILENT HILL: Townfall’s PC spec sheet is public on Steam and Epic ahead of the September 24, 2026 worldwide launch (Deluxe digital early access September 22). This page copies the official minimum and recommended tables and then explains the targets in plain language. It does not invent a 60 fps 4K row that Konami did not publish. The game is still upcoming. Treat these numbers as the store listing, not as a post-launch patch note.

Townfall is single-player. There is no extra player overhead to plan for. Storage is the same 75 GB at both tiers. The operating system is Windows 11 x64 on both rows — Windows 10 is not listed. DirectX 12 is required. Screen Burn recommends a controller; full controller support including PlayStation and Xbox pads is on the Steam page.

If you are still choosing an edition, use Standard vs Deluxe. If you need storefronts, use the pre-order guide. Dates and timezone quirks (Steam may show 23 September) are on release date. Console players should still read the storage note: PlayStation Game Size listings in early September 2026 put the PS5 download at 51.172 GB (version 02.002.000), which is smaller than the 75 GB PC row. Preload days differ by edition — Deluxe September 20, Standard September 22 — and are tracked on preload and file size. PS5 Quality (30 fps) and Performance (60 fps) modes are described in official PlayStation coverage.

Both rows require a 64-bit processor and operating system. The additional notes on the store listing are the target column above: minimum should enable Low at 1080p30; recommended should enable High at 4K30 using DLSS, FSR, or TSR in Balanced mode. That last clause matters. Recommended is not a native-4K 30 fps promise without an upscaler.

What the minimum row is for

Minimum is a 1080p Low floor, not a pretty screenshot. An RTX 2060 Super or RX 6600 with 16 GB of RAM is the class Konami named for that floor. If your GPU is older than that pair, do not assume Low will hold 30 fps in dense fog or Otherworld interiors — those scenes are the ones preview captures linger on. The CPU pair (Ryzen 5 3600 / i7-8700K) is last-gen enough that many Windows 11 boxes already clear it; RAM and GPU are the usual miss.

SSD is required in spirit even if the table only says “available space.” Official copy specifies SSD at minimum and NVMe at recommended. A 75 GB install on a spinning disk is a stutter risk in a first-person horror game that streams fogged streets and interior kits. Leave the 75 GB free before preload, not after.

Windows 11 is a hard line on the sheet. If you are still on Windows 10, this listing does not promise a workaround. DirectX 12 likewise is not optional.

Recommended jumps hard: 32 GB RAM and an RTX 3080 / RX 7800 XT for High at 4K30 with Balanced upscaling. That is a heavier recommended tier than several other recent Silent Hill releases that stayed on 16 GB even at “high.” If you have a strong GPU but 16 GB of memory, expect the minimum-like behavior — stutter as textures and fog volumes fight for RAM — more than a clean 4K High.

The 30 fps 4K target will surprise anyone who assumed recommended meant 60 fps. Konami did not publish a 4K60 row. On PS5, Performance mode is the 60 fps conversation. On PC, if you want 60 fps, you will be dropping resolution or quality below the recommended target and testing it yourself after launch. This wiki will not invent a preset name for that.

DLSS, FSR, and TSR are all named. NVIDIA cards can use DLSS; AMD cards FSR; TSR is the Unreal-style temporal option for either. Balanced is the mode attached to the 4K30 High claim. Quality or Performance upscaler modes are not documented as official targets.

Languages, audio, and launch practicalities

Steam lists English full audio. Interface and subtitles also cover French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Changing text language does not change the hardware row.

Preload, when Steam or Epic offer it, is a download — not permission to start. Deluxe still unlocks September 22; Standard on September 24. Confirm those clocks on release date. A machine that only just clears minimum should install on an SSD, close overlays, and expect Low. A recommended-class machine should still enable an upscaler if the goal is the 4K High note on the sheet.

After you know the box can run, the useful pages are no longer specs. Learn the loop in getting started and controls, then the CRTV so gyro or mouse tuning is not a surprise. The tools hub points at editions and endings if hardware was only half of the question. Official storefronts remain on links.

Until September 24 this list is the store listing. If a day-one patch raises or lowers a target, the updates hub will flag it and this table will follow.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for launch week and first-person survival.

Can I run Townfall on Windows 10?

The official sheet lists Windows 11 x64 only, at both minimum and recommended. Windows 10 is not a documented configuration.

Does recommended mean 4K 60 fps?

No. Recommended targets High at 4K **30 fps** with DLSS, FSR, or TSR Balanced. Konami did not publish a 4K60 PC row.

How much storage do I need?

75 GB free. Official notes call for an SSD at minimum and prefer NVMe at recommended. Do not install on a spinning disk.

Is an RTX 2060 Super enough?

It is the named NVIDIA minimum, paired with 16 GB RAM, for Low at 1080p30. It is not the 4K High card — that row starts at RTX 3080 / RX 7800 XT.

Where do PS5 frame-rate modes live?

On console, official coverage describes Quality (30 fps) and Performance (60 fps). This page is the PC sheet; platforms are listed on release date.
