News and Updates Hub

This hub is the news desk for SILENT HILL: Townfall while the game is still upcoming. Worldwide launch is September 24, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Digital Deluxe pre-orders unlock 48 hours earlier, on September 22. Steam’s store card may read 23 September because of timezone; that is a listing quirk, not a second date. The campaign is single-player, with no live-service calendar and no Roblox-style code drop. Until the campaign is in players’ hands, “updates” means official briefings, trailers, and storefront changes — not patch notes.

If you only need the calendar, open release date and platforms. Preload days and the PS5 51 GB listing live on preload and file size. Japanese voices (Yasumoto, Kaida, Otsuka) are on the Japanese voice cast page. If you are about to pay, use the pre-order bonuses guide for storefronts and cosmetics, then the editions comparison for Standard versus Deluxe. Footage lives on trailers and soundtrack. Official storefronts and social accounts sit on the links hub. Survival systems belong in the guides hub, not here.

Timeline worth bookmarking

Townfall was first shown as a teaser in October 2022 during a Silent Hill Transmission, with Glasgow studio No Code (later Screen Burn Interactive) and co-publishers Konami and Annapurna Interactive. After a quiet stretch and a 2024 staff walkout at Annapurna, the official line was that development continued with Konami, Annapurna, and the studio. In July 2025 the developer rebranded to Screen Burn Interactive — a name aimed at CRT burn-in and the way a game can stick in memory.

The first proper trailer arrived on February 12, 2026 at a PlayStation State of Play, paired with another Silent Hill Transmission. The worldwide date was locked on June 2, 2026 at a later State of Play, when pre-orders opened. Press hands-on sessions followed in July 2026. An 18-minute gameplay film landed on August 20, 2026. A cast-focused trailer played at gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25, 2026. None of those drops changed the platform list: PS5, Steam (app 1636440), and Epic. Physical discs are PS5 only. Deluxe is digital-only.

What this hub will track after launch

When September 24 arrives, this page will start collecting day-one patches, preload notes, and any storefront errata. Until then, treat every mechanic claim on this wiki as preview-accurate. Screen Burn’s hands-on build is not a retail patch. If a control, difficulty name, or CRTV function is later renamed, the getting started guide and controls will move first, then this hub will point at the change.

PC players should confirm system requirements before launch week: Windows 11 x64, DirectX 12, 75 GB on an SSD, 16 GB RAM at minimum. Console players should know the PS5 listing is single-player, offline, DualSense haptic and trigger supported, and PS5 Pro Enhanced. Languages on Steam are English full audio with interface and subtitles in French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

How to read Townfall news without getting spun

Three kinds of “news” circulate right now. First, official Konami, PlayStation, Steam, and Screen Burn posts — those are the source of dates, prices, and bonuses. Second, hands-on previews from July 2026 that describe peeking, hiding, and how brittle Simon Ordell feels. Third, rumor about cancelled builds or extra platforms. This wiki does not promote Xbox, Switch, or multiplayer claims. Konami’s current list is PS5 and PC.

Pricing is public: Standard $49.99 / £44.99 / €49.99 / ¥7,480; Deluxe $59.99 / £49.99 / €59.99 / ¥8,580. Standard pre-orders add CRTV Style: Rusted, plus CRTV Style: Beach Edition on PS5. Deluxe adds Simon’s Outfit: Alternate, a digital art book, a mini soundtrack of in-game highlights, 48-hour early access, and those same CRTV styles. Regional retailers sometimes wrap a SteelBook around a physical PS5 Standard copy; that is a shop extra, not a third Konami SKU. Compare the two official editions on Standard vs Deluxe.

Pair news with play, not with spoilers

Endings are confirmed — five total, three reachable on a first 10–14 hour run, two waiting in New Game+ — but they are not named here. The endings overview stays spoiler-light on purpose. Character pages for Zoe, Richard, and the creatures exist so you can meet the cast without a plot dump. If you want to walk Shorefront in order, use the walkthrough after you know how the CRTV actually works.

Watch the release-date trailer on this page for the June 2026 presentation, then jump to trailers for the reveal, the 18-minute gameplay cut, the gamescom cast film, and the Inside Screen Burn features. Soundtrack talk belongs with Pilotpriest’s “Home” feature on that same page. Official channels — Konami’s Townfall site, Steam, Epic, PlayStation, @SilentHill, and @silenthill_jp — are collected on links.

Bookmark this hub through September 22–24. Deluxe clocks in first. Everyone else follows two days later. Until then, the useful questions are still practical: which platform, which edition, whether your PC clears the floor, and how you plan to survive the docks.
